Dr Angela McNaught is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and a Director of Best Practice.

Angela holds a PhD in Psychology and a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology from Massey University. She is registered with the New Zealand Psychologists' Registration Board, holds the Clinical Scope of Practice, a current annual practicing certificate, and is also a Full Member of the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists.

As well as her commitments to Best Practice, Angela teaches psychiatry registrars Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and delivers a range of workshops locally and internationally on CBT,  using technology in clinical practice, and building resilience.  Prior to working full-time in private practice, she spent 8 years as a Senior Lecturer at Massey University where she taught in the Post-Graduate Diploma of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and several years at Counties Manukau District Health Board, specialising in adult mental health and working with combined medical and psychological problems. Angela's doctoral thesis investigated the understandings of dying well for terminally ill patients.

Natasha de faria - Associate

Natasha de Faria Senior Clinical Psychologist Best Practice Grey Lynn Auckland

Senior Clinical Psychologist

MA(Psych), PGDipClinPsych, MNZCCP

Natasha de Faria is a Senior Clinical Psychologist and an Associate at Best Practice.

Natasha holds a Master of Arts in Psychology with an endorsement in Clinical Psychology, and the Post Graduate in Clinical Psychology from Massey University. She is registered with the New Zealand Psychologists' Registration Board, holds the Clinical Psychologist Scope of Practice, a current annual practising certificate, and is also a Full Member of the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists.

Natasha has worked extensively in adult mental health at Counties Manukau District Health Board, and most recently worked as a Senior Clinical Psychologist at Massey University’s Psychology Clinic in Albany.  She has specialised in the area of anxiety disorders, particularly Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and also works with a broad range of difficulties employing Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and mindfulness-based interventions.
